The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts by Gary Chapman

Out of all the books I’ve read in the recent months, The 5 love Languages is by the far the best one.  Dr. Gary Chapman explains how married couples often have trouble communicating their affection towards their spouses because they are not speaking the same language of love.  The 5 Love Languages doesn’t just apply to couples, it also applies to friends, siblings, and children.

Though the 5 languages may be quite apparent to some (quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service, physical touch), carrying out communication between the 5 languages can often prove difficult.  Dr. Chapman gives us ideas on how to break down the communication barrier and address the real issues.  The key here is that both parties need to be willing to work on their communication.

I found this book enlightening and eye opening.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who is willing to improve on their relationships – not just with their significant others but with their children and their friends. Must Read!
